Your Chart, In Style

There has been so much talk online as of late about how to style yourself based on Astrology. As a proud Venus in Aries woman, I have been doing this in one way or another for many years now and after creating multiple long form posts on this subject for my Patreon, I’ve decided to shorten the spiel here. I’ll be breaking down how to style yourself based on your chart using: planets, signs and houses.

It’s always about the planets, people! They set the tone! Depending on the planet or planetary attributes we’re trying to exude, we can use this as the backdrop for how we show up in our style and the way we choose our fits.

Honestly, I think you could make a case that every planet in the chart can act as a mode of insight to your personal style. I’ll list the LOUDEST planets here.

  • Venus - this is the planet that represents our taste. At a base level it impacts what we think we like, what we know we hate. Venus is about pleasure and so this can be about the clothes?, jewelry and accessories you see that immediately catch your eye.

  • Sun- the planet of expression! Your sun greatly influences the expression of your style. This can also be about your talent for putting a good outfit together. It’s a way we say, it’s this is who we are with our clothes.

  • Mercury- this is about the message we send with our style. What did we think when we put something on? What are we communicating to the world and ourselves with our style of clothes?

  • Moon- this is what we find comfort in regarding our clothes. What we may be naturally drawn to and what reflects outwardly to other people when they see our style. It can also be an indicator what what looks hood on is naturally.

  • Saturn- where you’re willing to spend money at on your personal style. This can represent the kind of investments we are willing to make in our style; it can also show how much we’re willing to spend on aspects of your style and how it evolves over time

Houses in Astrology act as another important backdrop to our personal style. The energy of the houses set the stage for how planets in our chart perform. There are a couple natural indicators of outer style in the houses primarily 5&6 but, again all houses could be considered!

  • House 1: This is about how you see yourself and how the world interfaces with your style. Your ruling planet (the planet that rules the sign of your first house) is a great way to consider how you want your style to show up and what you pick up on.

  • House 2: This is the house of what we can afford and also since it’s a house of self worth, we may find that our expression jumps out in how we carry ourselves in style.

  • House 3: what do we think of our looks and our style. How might we put an outfit together?

  • House 5: this is what you reallly like! What looks and feels like you’re most playful, delightful and creative self.

  • House 6: how you implement your style into your daily life based on what you do routinely.

  • House 10: this is the public perception of your style. How you want to be seen out in the world.

Naturally, our signs are influential in what we we wear because they are based on the way a planet expresses itself within our charts. This can be an easy way to start tapping in.

  • Aries- red, clothes that show skin, statement pieces

  • Taurus- green, jewelry, cute but understated

  • Gemini- yellow, versatility, rings/ hand art as accessories

  • Cancer- silver, well put together outfits, bags/purses
