Saturn As An Opening

I’m writing this on Jupiters Day,

I come to you in the day of the inverse of Saturn, Jupiter’s Day to discuss Saturn. Ironic in some ways but aligned in my heart! I think it’s relevancy lies in the upcoming transits but it’s also just a life lesson I think I’ll always be faced with embodying and maybe you too.

Mars and Saturn are extremely important in the upcoming Eclipse in Aries. They will be conjunct in Pisces, in Aries Season, ruled by Mars in Pisces. All of this is feels like such a a clusterfuck of what the fuck and that’s because Mars I’m Pisces, where we can usually get away with lacking accountability and being whimsically directionless gains complications because of Saturn in Pisces being right next door. I know Saturn is characterized by “blockages” but as a post Saturn Return Girly I’m thinking that that’s a large part of our misunderstanding of this important planet.

Saturn is only going to block you where you’re refusing to make space for yourself to exist authentically. I can think back to Saturns transit in Sagittarius as my first indicator of this. I was covered in welts during the time, barely able to work even though I had too band all I could focus on was the perception others had of me. Today, I can look back at that transit and recognize that I had begun to remove the importance of experience, adventure and expansion of myself in honor of trying to live with and for other people. In fact, the only thing that seemed to thrive during that period of the transit was my knowledge of Astrology. I lost hours to books, lectures, YT videos wnd online articles that had a hand in making me the Astrologer I am today. What seemed a blockage actually opened space for me to discover one of my highest callings.

I’ll even use my own Saturn Return as an example. Gosh I had such a hard time feeling seen as valuable by SO MANY PEOPLE IN SO MANY WAYS DURING THAT TRANSIT. I was so frustrated by people’s lack of accommodation for the value of my work, my mind and my energy. But what I realized I needed to do was, make space for myself to acknowledge my own value. I was so busy hoping people would honor my value on behalf of me that I wasn’t honoring myself. I couldn’t even use words to describe my value our loud wnd I was certain that I was entitled to it from others. While i without question believe that EVERYONE has value rehqflesw of their ability to recognize it or not I can also reconcile with the fact that in rejecting interrogation of our own self ordained value we will never be able to find the stability mevessgj to show up for what we deserve.

Let’s end this with the best Saturnian reminder: Rewards. When you make space, things show up to fill it. I was telling a client this week, to “pay attention to what you don’t usually pay attention to” easier said than done I know but, walk with me here. Say there’s a lamp in your space and one day when you’re on the couch you look over and exclaim “I fucking hate that lamp” get up and throw it away. For the exclamation comes from the fact that you have walked past this lamp for months or years now, much much caring for it but it’s always been present. Through the exclamation you’ve given yourself an opportunity to throw it away and make space for a lamp that you really like and not only do you have space for something that you like more but you become aware of the ability you have to make choices about where and how your space feels to you. You’ve now opened yourself up to experiment more with this around your home in your closet and in your life choices. So that lamp wasn’t blocking you, it was just showing you where you needed more space for new light.
